What is “My news breakdown” about? 

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog ‘My news breakdown’. As you can probably guess from the title, I will write about online news articles. I will analyse news stories from any newspaper, show you quotes from the articles and want to express my opinion on the chosen topic on a weekly basis. I do this for a project of the subject of study ‘Journalism 1’ at the University of Malta.

I guess you want to know who is talking to you, who wants to analyse written articles from big newspaper and if the person is competent to do that at all. I am Melina from Germany and currently, I study abroad in Malta for one semester. My area of study is Journalism and Public Relations, which I started in 2015. When everything goes as planned, I will get my Bachelor Thesis next summer. I am not sure yet what I want to do after that. Maybe a Master Thesis or working for the radio station in my hometown where I did an internship last year. Now it is up to you to estimate if I am able to do what I am going to do in this blog.

I want to cover two main topics here. The focus will lie on politics and entertainment. But if there is an interesting news article appearing on almost every newspaper, I will show it to you as well. I don’t want to bore you with only one topic after all.
